Dr Paul Emberson of Rapita Systems has had good reason to feel pleased with himself this week - a paper he co-wrote has finally been published by the IEEE Computer Society.
Written during studies for Paul’s PhD, the paper’s focus is on automating an aspect of the design of real-time systems called task allocation. Algorithms were designed to generate flexible designs and try to minimise change from previous designs.
The full abstract and paper entitled “Stressing Search with Scenarios for Flexible Solutions to Real-Time Task Allocation Problems” are now available at Computer.org.
Do you agree with Paul when he says “One of the most important properties of a good software engineering process and of the design of the software it produces is robustness to changing requirements”?
