I’ve recently returned to the office after a few days at the inaugural Certification Together International Conference held in Toulouse. Here are my thoughts on the event and how it might be changing my plans for CTIC 2011.
More than 300 attendees from over 100 worldwide companies enjoyed three days of presentations and discussions covering all aspects of certification (software, hardware and systems) and the transition to new versions of the guidance documents.
Since a lot of my work at Rapita is on understanding changing aircraft or engine certification requirements at ARP4754/ARP4761 and DO-178 levels, this was all meat and drink to me.
I was pleased to see that our initial thoughts on a tool qualification approach have either already been used successfully by other tool vendors or are likely to become mandatory for future releases. Now I'm already looking forward to CTIC 2011. There may even be a presentation from Rapita next year!
