A paper co-authored by Rapita Systems Ltd is to be presented at an annual gathering of WCET specialists.
The 10th International Workshop on Worst-Case Execution-Time Analysis will hear a presentation on “Hybrid measurement-based WCET analysis at the source level using object-level traces”.
Co-authored by Dr Nicholas Merriam of Rapita Systems and Adam Betts of Mälardalen University, the paper proposes a way to perform hybrid WCET analysis without the need for intrusive instrumentation.
According to the authors, the timing penalties sometimes associated with instrumentation can be overcome with the introduction of new state-of-the-art hardware which collects trace data at the object level.
Academics and embedded software developers with a shared interest in all aspects of timing analysis for real-time systems are expected to attend.
The 10th International Workshop on Worst-Case Execution-Time Analysis takes place in Brussels on July 6th.
