The 4th Workshop on Compositional Theory and Technology for Real-Time Embedded Systems (CRTS 2011) is a forum for researchers and technologists to discuss and present their work and contribute to the future development of compositional technologies in real-time embedded systems. One of the most thought-provoking and popular parts of CRTS is the presentation of papers describing state‐of‐the‐art research, presenting work‐in‐progress, or suggesting open problems covering workshop-related topics. This year Rapita Systems is sponsoring the best paper award with a certificate and cash prize. We are always looking for new ideas and methodologies and are confident CRTS 2011 papers can meet the high standards set by previous presentations. CRTS 2011 will be held in conjunction with RTSS 2011 in Vienna, Austria, on November 29th, 2011.
