Rapita Systems Ltd has been named one of the companies involved in a recently published list of high-potential innovations. The Innovation Radar reviews several ongoing EU research projects, assesses their maturity and the ability of key organisations involved in the delivery of these innovations to market.
The ParMERASA project, which focuses on verification and profiling of parallel software running on multi-core architecture, ranked 6th in the Top 10 innovations with Rapita Systems as the Key Organisation involved. The project was carried out over 3 years, from 2011 to 2014, with the intention of increasing performance at reduced costs while maintaining safety levels, in response to demands from the avionic and automotive industries. Rapita Systems worked as part of the project to highlight the benefits of moving from embedded single core to multi-core processors in order to run applications in parallel and meet the demands of industry.
As a result Rapita Verification Suite (RVS) tools from Rapita Systems have been developed to incorporate the new parallel analysis techniques in order to bring this cutting edge technology to their avionic and automotive customers worldwide.
