Be the best optimizer on the day and walk away with a fantastic iPod Touch.
That’s the challenge for anyone who attends a special tutorial on software optimization at the Reliable Software Technologies Conference - Ada Europe 2010.
Dr Ian Broster of Rapita Systems is running the half-day training session for embedded software developers and managers who need to engineer reliable, embedded software.
His presentation covers two key aspects of real-time systems performance:
(1) how to gain a clear, detailed, and accurate understanding of the execution time behavior of embedded software
(2) how to target optimization effort precisely where it will have the maximum benefit in improving system timing behavior (eliminating timing failures and creating headroom for new functionality) for the minimum cost.
Part of the session gives you the opportunity to test your optimization skills. The individual who performs the most effective optimization will take home an 8GB iPod Touch.
The performance measurement of each application will be assessed by RapiTime, Rapita Systems’ toolset for on-target performance profiling and worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis of embedded real-time software.
8GB means a capacity of up to 1,750 songs, up to 10,000 iPod-viewable photos and a maximum of 10 hours of video.
The device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 capabilities, and comes complete with earphones and a Dock Connector to the USB cable.
The half-day training session takes place on the afternoon of Monday 14th June 2010 in Valencia, Spain.
Book your place by registering on-line and selecting Tutorial T5 (I. Broster).
