A PhD student has overcome the final barrier to receiving a doctorate after successfully defending his thesis.
Johan Kraft’s work on “Enabling Timing Analysis of Complex Embedded Software Systems” came under intense scrutiny during an hour-long question and answer session at Mälardalen University in Sweden.
The nominated PhD opponent was Ian Broster of Rapita Systems. His knowledge of the subject matter and forensic questioning style gave the examining committee the guidance it needed to come to a decision.
Ian said he was “delighted to take part” and wishes Johan all the best with his future endeavours.
Kraft founded Percepio AB, a spin-off company from research conducted at the Mälardalen Real-Time Research Centre, in January 2009.
