We provide qualification support for your use of RVS tools within DO-178B/C and ISO 26262 contexts.
Within the aerospace DO-178C context, RVS tools are defined as Criteria 3 tools with Tool Qualification Level 5, and we provide qualification support for their use in projects up to and including DAL A.
Within the automotive ISO 26262 context, RVS tools are defined as Tool Confidence Level 3 tools, and we provide qualification support for their use in projects up to and including ASIL D.
To fully support your use of RVS tools within these environments, we provide the following:
- Generic developer (COTS) tool qualification kits – these include information demonstrating that the RVS tool(s) you are using are robust in a general environment, including requirements and results from tests run for the RVS version you are using.
- A qualified target integration service – this supplements the generic information in our qualification kits to demonstrate that the development environment uses RVS within the scope of the COTS qualification kit, thus completing the evidence you need to qualify your use of RVS.
- Notifications on any assurance issues that we identify within RVS tools – when we become aware of issues that may affect your use of RVS in a qualified environment, we notify you, providing a clear description of the issue, any workarounds and mitigation strategies that we have identified, and a schedule for when we plan to fix the issue, if relevant. You can check the status of all assurance issues whenever you need to.
Our expert quality assurance team work with you to provide the support you need and have ample experience in working with applicants who are qualifying tools for the first time.
