Dr. Ian Broster is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a founder of Rapita Systems. His mix of technical and commercial ability has helped to grow Rapita from its early stages to the international brand it is today. He is currently involved in all aspects of the business, from software development to finance. Ian is active in the transfer of research technologies to practical industrial uses in the aerospace and reliable embedded systems domains. He earned his PhD in 2003 at the Real-time Systems group of the University of York for his work on the timing analysis of real-time communication.
