Project SCHEME is led by Rolls Royce and aims to develop a new processor required for the next generation of aero engines and other harsh-environment applications. The next generation of aircraft will be designed to meet net-zero targets. This challenge will require more complex, intelligent, autonomous, and connected systems, and at the heart of those software-enabled systems is the need for a cyber-secure, high-integrity processor.
The project is partly funded by the UK government agencies, BEIS, ATI, and Innovate UK and sees Rolls-Royce joined by a number of companies and organizations at the forefront of developments in the avionics sector. Rapita Systems are delighted to be one of those companies involved with the project.
More information on the aims and objectives of the project can be found on the Innovate UK website.
